Project Theory and Management

This is THE in-depth course for all project managers and team members: in short, everyone on whom success depends. Over four intensive days, it covers all the basics of planning, scheduling, costing and tracking a project. Punctuated by twelve hours of team-structured workshops that reinforce each concept as it is introduced, students develop a comprehensive project plan, then analyze and optimize it, schedule resources, resolve bottlenecks, and produce the most efficient and cost effective work schedule possible.

This seminar is the essential foundation for implementing project management software. Yet it is software independent, teaching concepts through manual generation and analysis of the same data that software uses.

PROJECT THEORY & MANAGEMENT covers, but goes beyond, U.S. Government cost tracking requirements. It includes the uses and benefits of:

CPM

Earned Value

Resource Leveling

WBS

EAC & ETC

SPI & CPI analysis

OBS

Project templates

Cost/schedule integration

Additionally, it is the only commercially-available project management course that includes Value Scheduling and DIPP Analysis.*

PROJECT THEORY & MANAGEMENT is also offered as a three-day course, without the extensive team workshops.
